Serbia, Israel to Jointly Produce Military Drones—Vucic

(MENAFN) Serbia and Israel will collaborate on the production of military drones, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Tuesday, describing the project as one that will deliver what he called “the best drones in this part of the world,” according to reports.

Speaking during an event commemorating the Day of the Military Police Special Unit “Cobras,” Vucic said the partnership would be structured as an equal 50-50 cooperation between the two sides.

He praised Israel’s technological capabilities, adding that the joint effort would benefit from shared expertise and resources, according to the same remarks.

Vucic also responded to media reports questioning Serbia’s arms-related activities, arguing that rising defense exports reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security and military infrastructure.

He reiterated that Serbia intends to continue investing in its defense sector, particularly in drone technology, as part of a broader modernization strategy for its armed forces.

The president also recalled earlier plans to establish a drone manufacturing facility in cooperation with a foreign partner, noting that Serbia has already begun assembling smaller drones domestically, according to reports.
